Welcome to our clause flashcards! Whether you are having trouble understanding grammar in school, or if you want to test your knowledge, these flashcards can help. A clause is a unit of sentence organization and is said to consist of a subject and predicate. Clauses can come in four different types. The first type is a main or independent clause. An example of this would be a sentence with a subject and a verb.

Next is the subordinate or dependent clause. An example of this would be a subject, verb and a conjunction which does not make up a complete sentence. Next, is the adjective or relative clause and noun. In these flashcards, we will provide specific examples and help explain these complicated terms in a way that will make it easy to understand and remember.
