Five Parts of A Plot

A plot is typically what your whole story is going to be about. It has a beginning, middle, and an end or conclusion. This is basically the whole story.

A character or, characters, are the people who are at the center of the plot and progress the plot with their actions or personalities. They do not necessarily have to be people.

A setting is the area where your plot is located, or where the story is going to happen. For example, in Spongebob, the setting is the "Bikini Bottom."

The climax is the turning point of a story. This is where the greatest area of suspense lies in the plot.

The ending is where your story is "wrapped up." This is the ultimate conclusion where your story is completely finished.
