A form of illegal migration involving organized transport of persons accross an international boarder, usually in exhcnage for a sum of money and sometimes involving dangerous conditions

A voluntary buissiness transaction that ends when the person reaches his/her desired destination. the financial componenet may be a one time fee paid to the smuggler b4 arrival or at destination

-being born into an abusive home- drug and alcohol, divorced parents, single parent families -sexual abuse as a child -early exposure to drugs and alcohol -running away from home being a female, LGBTQ, race, lowered SES- pooper education, not graduating high school, child welfare, being in the juvenille justice system

Nurses role must go beyond awareness and and go into recognizing signs that this thing does happen and does exist. training should cover guidence on interacting with victims, interviewing techniques, and recommended responses

-these indivifuald may not identify as victims because they have food to eat, a place to life, medical access to health care and what they think is a "paying job"-they are taught to distrust others including the law, and governemtn for fearof being deported. they feel better in their current situation, then where they came from even if they were emxplited. there are unaware of their giths in canada and fear for their familes

Not only are nurses resposible for identifying these victims throhgout the phsical aspects but they are additonall in a role fo knowing the propper interviewing techniques and making sure these victims are safe

In the community of regina, minimal resources exists for the partcular purpose of human trafficking. Regina does contian a human resources department in which it would help to work witht those individuals. more resources arer equired, perhaos a womens safe house where womne who are victims to abuse
What is the difference between sex trafficking and prostitution
Sex rafficking- the recruitment, harborring, transportation, provisiosn, or obtaining of a person for the purpose of a comemrcial sex act and is considered severe when force, fraud or coersion are involved. prostitution- is the practice/ occupation of engaging in sexual activity with someone for payment usually womenare vulnerale and have minimal other opportunies
