He was most well known for the Mona Lisa painting and the Last Supper. Many artists were only very famous once they were dead, not alive. Vinci was extremely famous when he was alive and still now meaning when he passed away. Leonardo was first interested in art at a very young age. Whenever he first studied or learnt about a subject in art, he would always keep track of it in a journal. There were many thousands of pages in that journal, he had so many amazing drawings in his journal such as designs of hang gliders, helicopters, war machines, musical instruments, various pump.He died on May 2, 1519 in Amboise, Kingdom of France.
