Top Listening Flashcards

Welcome to our listening flashcards. Did you know that there are right and wrong ways of listening? There are many different listening tactics that are usually driven on the expected outcome of the discussion. If you are having an argument, you are most likely listening in order to respond rather than listening in order to really understand what the other person is trying to say. There are other types of listening which involve mostly pretending like you are listening but you are not retaining any information that is being said to you. We have provided 3 different sets of flashcards that are all about listening.

We cover different types of ineffective listening skills, the listening process and commonly used vocabulary used when discussing listening. We ask difficult questions such as, “What are the seven types of ineffective listening?” and “What are two key characteristics of stage hogging?” Once you review these flashcards, you will understand how to use effective listening and communicate more efficiently.
