Literacy is the ability to read and write. It can be also defined as possession of education. Welcome to our literacy flashcards! The modern term's meaning also includes the ability to use language, numbers, images, computers, and other basic means to understand, communicate, and gain knowledge and use it. The key to literacy is reading development, a progression of skills that starts with the ability to understand spoken words, read written words, and finishes in the deep understanding of text. In this section we will focus on three groups of flashcards.

In the first one, called Fundamentals of Language and Literacy, we have 100 cards with definitions on syntactic system, texts, writing and reading. In the second group of flashcards, called Literacy First HF Word List A, we prepared five cards with common prepositions and conjunctions. In the final group of flashcards, called Competency 004 Literacy Development, we prepared twenty-three cards and here we prepared questions and answers about children’s development, education, environmental print and plenty of others terms.
