Top Finance Flashcards

For most people and many purposes, finance is a synonym for the management of money. Broadly speaking there are three categories of finance; public, corporate and personal. At a corporate level, finance is the term used to describe how a business and its activities are funded. It is also commonly used to describe the means with which boards and managers divide and allocate money between departments and other stakeholders.

We’ve all heard of people and organizations with poor finances but what are the roots of the term? Is there a more scientific explanation? And what are the many applications of this word?
