Top Management Exam Flashcards

Management is the difficult process of overseeing a business’s day-to-day operations. Managers have to understand the functions of the business, the needs of users and consumers, and the personalities of those working around them. They have to demonstrate both hard skills (like coding, data analysis, or accounting) and soft skills (like leadership, reliability, and perseverance). They also have to walk the difficult line of being friendly enough with their employees to create an enjoyable and productive office environment, without becoming overly familiar in a way that makes employees uncomfortable or leads them to shirk their responsibilities.

Not every aspect of management can be learned in school. But these days most managers have at least some academic exposure to management theory, which helps them be more effective in their jobs. These flashcards are designed to walk you through the concepts and theories that you might encounter in your management class or seminar.
