What happens during Interphase?
DNA replicates but doesn't form the condense structure of chromosones they remain loosely coiled chromatin.
What happens during Prophase?
The DNA molecules shorten and condense by coiling to form chromosones and the spindles move to opposite sides of the cell.
What happens during Metaphase?
The spindle fibers attach themselves to the middle of the chromosones and align the chromosones in the middle of the cell.
What happens during Anaphase?
Spindle fibers get shorter and contromere splits, the sister chromatins get pulled along behind the centromeres.
What happens during Telophase?
The chromosones reach their corresponding pole, the nuclear envelope reforms and the spindle fibers disintegrate.
What is Cytokinasis?
This is the last step of mitosis and it separates the daughter cells, a furrow is formed and the cell gets pinch two now each daughter cell contains the same number of chromosones as the parent cell.
