Top Diagnosis Flashcards

Welcome to our diagnosis flashcards. A diagnosis is the process of determining which disease or condition explains a person's symptoms and signs. The data needed for a diagnosis is usually gathered from a patient history and physical examination of the one who is seeking medical care. Often, one or more diagnostic procedures are also completed during the process. Coming up with a diagnosis is often difficult. This is because there are many different signs and symptoms are not specific. An example of this would be redness of the skin.

By itself, it is a sign of many different disorders and therefore does not tell the healthcare professional what the problem is or how to treat it. We have compiled different data into three sets of flashcards to better help you understand this process. In our first set of flashcards, we discuss DSM IV-TR diagnosis. In our second set of flashcards, we discuss the CPE diagnosis. In our final set, we cover different categories found in the DSM-IV Diagnosis book.
